The evening that Gazhal was born, his dam Bint Nessma was in her 20th year. The foaling went well, but due to her age she was having difficulty getting to her feet. She allowed us to do some rearranging in the stall and then we physically helped her up. Like the outstandig mother she was she immedately went to meet her new born son. Because of her difficulty, Gazhal is her last foal.
We feel that Bint Nessma should be discussed in regards to what she herself her lineage brings to Gazhal as a breeding stallion. Bint Nessma was the daughter of the halter performance Champion stallion, Shamruk and the granddaugher of the famous *Bint Maisa El Saghira. *Bint Maisa El Saghira was considered Nazeer's best daughter. She won top tens at the national level in both performance and halter. The blending of Bint Nessma and *Simeon Shai has produced the beautifully balanced and conformed 15-1 hand stallion SH Gazhal. His distingushed pedigree is a blending of Gleannloch's great Egyptian blood onto the newer lines of *Simeon Shai. One has only to look at his pedigree to see that *Bint Maisa El Saghira and *Ibn Hafiza are just 3 lines back.
Gazhal distinguishes himself with a marvelous topline, great length of hip, long straight legs, strong in the back with a perfect topline and lofty action. Thus making him very performance oriented. Gazhal possess the *Simeon Shai extra ordinary intelligence. He's a joy to handle and his loving personality is evident as he loves meeting new people. Gazhal is currently in training with Debbie Loy- a well respected and talented reining trainer.
SH Gazhal has 3 foal crops on the ground which have produced 6 colts and 2 fillies with three foals coming in 2006. His semen ships very well and was tested at 96% motility.
If performance foals are your goal, Gazhal is a stallion to consider. His get have inherited those beautiful striaght legs, super topline, wonderful strong hips and that extra ordinary intelligence.
